With Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Annie McEnroe, and Maurice Page, "Beetlejuice" is a 1988 American fantasy horror comedy film directed by Tim Burton. The screenplay was written by Michael McDowell and Warren Skaaren. The film follows three generations of the Deetz family as they return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down.

After a family tragedy, the Deetz family returns home to Winter River. The house is still haunted by Beetlejuice, the ghost of a deceased comedian. Lydia, the teenage daughter of the Deetzes, is the only one who can see Beetlejuice. She is initially afraid of him, but she eventually comes to see him as a friend.

Beetlejuice helps Lydia to deal with her grief and to find her place in the world. However, he also causes a lot of chaos and destruction. The Deetzes eventually hire an exorcist to get rid of Beetlejuice, but he is too powerful for them. In the end, Beetlejuice is defeated by Lydia and her friends.
